My nephew, his irresponsible uncle, and I made a CO2 cartridge cannon out of a pipe, nail and two by four. One of the canisters shot in the air for about 10 seconds.

But another was a dud... until it magically came back to life, hovered in the air, and landed gently on the porch. We screamed and giggled like 14 year olds, but only one of us is 14. But we all narrowly averted an entry into the Darwin Awards.

Don't try this at home. Seriously. We're trained professionals. This was green screen.

  • 1. I hope you feel superior that you've wasted your time learning the difference.

    2. Good thing you have no self-esteem so you have to belittle people on youtube.

    3. If you would have kindly told him/her the difference, I'm sure they would have wanted to be your friend, which you'd have liked, since you have none.

    4. If anybody is a dumb ass it is you.

    5. Eat shit.

    6. Repeat 5 then 6.

  • I got a little bored so I calculated your height based on 10 secs, and the CO2 canister not accelerating after leaving the launcher.

    Projectile height is about 405'

Muzzle velocity would be about 110mph

Muzzle velocity is a bit slower, but it's close enough. (calculations based on CO2 cartridge not accelerating after leaving launcher)

Fast enough I don't want to get popped in the eye by one.

Wear safety glasses and point away from face. (To anyone else out there that may build one of these.)

  • Ha, I've done this same thing except I made it into a bottle rocket (IE stick taped to the canister). I carefully placed it on a nail in a 2X4 several feet off the ground. I simply reached over with a hammer and taped it lightly into the nail. Rocket would fly really well, unless you didn't hit it hard enough. To light a hit and the hole is so small there is no thrust and the cartridge just hisses. The cannon idea is probably safer than what I was doing.

  • First time I saw this.. I was like eyes >.<

  • Good times . .

  • @murlove7 oh, about the whole frys and ebay thing... in my view no but the 2 main things you need to start is sony vegas and green screen, then watch loads of tutorials on how to chroma key and stuff. best way to start is intro making.
