Excellent! It's my mission in life to make people envious ;). Thanks, I'm quite proud of that guitar.
It's definitely not easy to play a 7 string archtop though. I don't know if it's the radius of the neck, the spacing of the strings or what - but's it's pretty hard to do a barre across 7 strings for instance. Over the past few years though, my hands have gotten stronger. So, I love that guitar even more than in the beginning.

Yes, he's brilliant. That's a good question that I don't know the answer to though.
I have a compilation of early jazz guitar (1920-1930 era) that's really impressive in terms of their harmonic knowledge. Mel Bay also has an anthology of early "plectrum guitar masters" that you may want to check out. George Barnes, Carl Kress, George Van Eps (one of my heroes), and many more.
