@volkswag12 Humanity, as a whole today is purely carnal, consumerist, destructive and selfish...we have all but destroyed the Earth and countless species. It's a state to overcome, nothing to be proud of. In the movie this is demonstrated very well. But so is the better side of what we could be, and a few of us are...Good luck to us all.

Great movie. Here in Portland, Oregon we have a science fiction and fantasy convention called Orycon. Three years ago we had an Orycon which featured Peter S. Beagle the one who wrote the book and screenplay to this great movie. I had the pleasure of meeting him and I can say Mr. Beagle is an excellent songwriter/writer and a wonderful man. As a matter of fact one of his songs "Magician's Wives" inspired an idea I want to have turned into an animated series one day.
