"I've been waiting for this moment." Her mom got up and sat down next to Demi. "You two are so naive! It's been obvious since the first time you met, I know you too well, Demi. You're transparent. When you looked at Joe's eyes you.."

"I get it mom. You're kinda.. starting to embarrass me now." Demi snapped quickly and blushed beside me which made me flashed an ear-to-ear smile.

"Oh,"--her mom looked at me with wide apologetic yet smug smile--"Went far enough." Then she laughed, and looked back at Demi. "Im happy for you, sweety."

"You better take care of my daughter, Joseph." Her dad's voice was a little harsh yet I could hear his smile. He still sat on the couch across ours. "Or else.. you really have no idea."

"Dad!" Demi snapped. "Don't threaten him like that."

"Im just kidding, sweetheart."

"You, guys, are giving me heart attack!" Demi hissed.

I chuckled. "I will forever take care of your daughter, dad. I promise that."

"Don't make promises that are made to be broken, son." He said with a smile.

"Okay." I took in a deep breath. "But this is all I can say, I love your daughter dearly, and with promises or not, she's my life now. And I won't be able to live without her."

"Well said." Her dad nodded with a huge kind grin on his face. "You'd been part of my family ever since, Joe. Im glad you two have come to realize your feelings. Dianna's right, you were obvious yet naive."

Demi sighed again beside me. "Really cheesy, guys. Stop it already."

Demi's mom giggled at her other side "Come on, honey. We've never been this excited. And Im so glad you told us.. OFFICIALLY."

"My plan!" Demi beamed, her cheeks were red.

"Good girl." Her mom patted her head. "So tell me the story."

Demi paused for a couple of seconds and then rolled her eyes, giggling. "Well..."

She told her mom our tale how we ended up being a couple, as her dad leaned a little forward to catch some of her words. They chatted like they were in the same age, it was fun watching girls talk, with all those squeling, blushing and everything. And it was even more fun because of one single thought. Her parents approved us! One thing I'd been spacing out earlier, and now it was resolved like a total piece of cake! I needed no flowery words to describe how much I wanted them to approve and believe my love, they'd completely longed for the most simplest words. And I was very thankful for that. I didn't know they were actually waiting for this right moment to come. Awkward. Yet, it seemed they'd been observing our actions from the past couple of months. And embarrassing enough to know, that we went obvious yet we're in denial, how stupid was that? I chuckled silently, eyeing the girl of my dreams, telling our love story to her mom and dad with much enthusiasm. I wondered what her thoughts had been since this very second.

DING DONG.

"Whoop." Demi snapped. "SELENA!" She got up in less than a second and flew through the door.

"Whoa." I blinked, astonished with her speed. "She's quite fast."

"She's like that whenever Selena comes here." Demi's mom smiled at me, very warmly.

"They're more like a sisters than best of friends."

She nodded. "Yeah. Sometimes I wonder if Selena's my real daughter." Then she giggled.

I chuckled.

"Joe?" She said after a couple of seconds had passed. "Thank you. Please make sure Demi's happy. That's all I wanted."

I flashed my finest smile at her. "It's my pleasure to make her happy every second, mom."

"Hey mom!" Selena beamed when the door cracked open. She gave Demi's mom a warm hug.

"Joe!" Then one for me.

"Dad!" and last for Demi's dad. "It's so great to be back here, again. I miss you guys so much."

Demi's mom giggled. "And you're so welcome here, honey. We miss you too."

"Aww." She giggled. "But it sure wasn't that easy to get here without being caught."

"Tell me something I don't know." Demi rolled her eyes, and laughed. "Im sure Joe and his family just had the same encounter."

I nodded, "Trust me, we just did."

Selena smiled, "But after all the sneaking-out sessions,"--She raised her hand infront of Demi for a high five--"It's so good to be back here in my second home."

Demi laughed and gave her a high five. "You're such a dork. And I love you!"

Selena laughed with Demi for awhile. "So..where are the others?"

Demi snickered beside her and made a fake cough sounds. "You mean, where's Nick?"

I chuckled hysterically. "Nick's probably just around here, Selena. Don't worry too much about him." My voice had never been as teasing like this before.

"Hey, you guys are so..." She raised one eyebrow, with a little blush on the cheeks. I knew she couldn't hide anything. "gonna have your day! Ugh.." Then she stomped her foot.

"Aww.." Demi reached her arm and intertwined it with hers. "Come on, dork. Let's put your things in my room, quick!"--then her voice turned into a teasing one--"then say 'hi' to Nick."
