Turks resort to death threats over Armenian genocide

Valérie Boyer, a French M.P. who drafted the controversial Armenian genocide bill, has been made a target by the Turks. She has received death threats following the passing of a bill making the denial of the Armenian genocide in Turkey a criminal offence. Valerie Boyer has also been threatened with rape and torture. As a result of these threats , she and members of her family have been given police protection. Since the passing of that bill in the French National Assembly, the Turkish government has launched an intimidatory campaign targeting French politicians. To become law, the controversial bill needs to be ratified by the Senate ( the French Upper House ). This incident illustrates beyond doubt that Turkey does not have the required democratic credentials and the cultural profile to be a member of the commonwealth of civilised nations.


It is primarily the site of the Senate was paralyzed by a virus attack, Sunday morning, after Christmas Eve. Monday remained inaccessible. Sunday morning, the famous Turkish hacker Iskorpitx, claiming the comments page of this blog, hacking the site. Iskorpitx, became famous in Turkey to have hacked nearly half a million websites.

Then the personal website of MP Valérie Boyer, causing the bill to criminalize denial of Armenian genocide of 1915, has also been the victim of an intrusion by hackers. On the home page yesterday displayed a Turkish flag and a message in Turkish and English, attacking the Armenian diaspora in France and the French "pathetic and pitiful." Valerie Boyer then said on BFM she had received death threats and rape. His parents and his children were also threatened, she said.
