I think the real twist out looked professional enough.. maybe even more professional than the ponytail. As a natural you shouldn't be worried about looking "professional" by the European standard of beauty

@TransitioningBeauty Thanks, but I know that they don't want me to wear my hair out at work... One day I did and everyone complimented me... but in a it-looks-fabulous-but-not-for-the-front-desk kind of way.
