@SlenderTroll its called rat tail or something like that and it jsut means the tail starts to lose all the hair... and then looks like a rat tail :P

That is an European hedgehog. They are that big. I know this because I see them bigger than these in the wild.

@SlenderTroll When ferrets get upset their tails go "bottle brush" and fan out to show aggravation (or fear). It's a self-defense thing.
