My sister is tryin to be a chiroprator and they do alot of "natural healing" you can say. they deal with autism and things like. or actually i think som eof the doctors do after they get out of school they somehow do. sorry it confusing but my sister wants me to see one of her chiropractor instructions because she thinks that they can help me get off my medication for schizophrenia. I KNow my sister is doing this out of love but shoudl i really see one?

@dabul2003 I wouldn't go off your meds, because you will probably get worse. Things like acupuncture and chiropractic stuff can be used in addition to regular meds, but they are no substitute for medications. The best treatments available for schizophrenia are the meds plus therapy. Without medications I would probably have to live in a hospital. :(

2 months ago my brother started having anxiety attacks & depression he has been taking Ativan for the anxiety after ending up in the ER, he is yet to see a psychiatrist. He becomes very obsessive about things, i.e. watch a movie over and over like 10 times per week. He has the idea of being watched by the police (aka "them") cameras, microphones etc on walls & lamps, so far we dont know what to say to this, any ideas on what we can say in response to this without affecting him or his feelings?!?

I would say: get your brother to a psychiatrist fast. Also, try to be compassionate and gentle. If he thinks he is being watched, he is probably paranoid and that is very frightening. A little extra kindness goes a long ways. I know it is probably hard to be around him at this point, but know that your support means more now than ever.

Thankyou for posting this video. My girlfriend is schizophrenic and also suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder, and I am trying to learn as much as I possibly can. It is hard to find something about the disorders that isn't in complete scientific garble, so its nice of you too explain it simply, I really appreciate it.

i also tried going to a acupuncturist and it seemed to have made my symtomps worse tahn before. my mom thought it could help but the only thing that helps is the medication. and sometimes even the pyshciatriists have a hard time deciding what medications i should take.

@aogm720401 my brother is experiencing the exact same thing for about 2 years now, thinking he is been watched by police, cameras micropones walls tv and all that, he even thought that he has a wirles chip in his body so that police can follow him everywhere, my mum has tuck him to the hospital to scan his full boddy to make him believe it was all in his head, thank god naw he feels better about it, he been smoking weed for about 12 years, but now even when he drink alchool it effects him bad.
