The Spotted Salamander, found in much of the US and Canada, migrates on one night each spring. Many of these beautiful creatures become roadkill.
This video explains how to start an environmental project to help save these salamanders. It's an easy way to get people involved in environmental advocacy. The video (with lots of salamander action!) is for environmentalists of all ages, however the actual "salamander crossing" is a task for adults, or teens with adults, only, as it takes place on wet, rainy, roads.
