i was playing in China from Poland or Italy, and yes, lag is a big problem. but Aion is going out officially in EU/NA at the end of September, and now you can try the beta version :)

Enermax Infinity 650W, ASUS P5E, Intel E8200, 4GB RAM Kingstone, ASUS 9800 GT 1GB, HD 1TB. Full details at 1920x1200 (but really it seems the game doesn't work more than 1680x1050)
