@lencline: Teach what belief, exactly? The fact that there are other people in the world, who may just want to use the money they earn, instead of throwing it in your direction? Teach the concept of 'other people' and their dreams? Teach the concept of responsibility for one's behavior and actions? Teach the concept of setting goals for oneself, and staying on track to realize those goals, without grifting off of someone else?

How could you possibly have a problem with that lesson?

@rickinnev - I'm not a politically correct person. What I referred to was the half White House part. We don't choose our parents. Don't inject race/religion into this.Otherwise, I agree with you. Did you read my remark b4 yours? At 63, I think I've seen it all & the next day, some other crap comes along. I worked for what I have & day by day, I see everything I worked for taken slowly away. NO, nobody gave me anything & I can go back further than 2006. Pls. read my full comment.

Teaching starts in the home with values, morals, etc. So easy to blame the teachers who have been made into babysitters for the past few generations. Blame the family or lack of. I worked for my dream - nobody handed it to me. My parents had passed along good work ethics. Entitlement? You live in a democracy - that's your entitlement. The system owes you squat. Are these kids working to pay their way thru college? Get a job, pay into SS & when you hit 67, you'll get a check. Nothing is free.

@pyronaught I am real and I can make statements without making racial slurs. This clip thinks that they can blame schools for creating the gimme me attitude by looking at one school. If you went to school and learned about statistics then you would know that's not how you prove anything based upon one school.

Kids would not be saying that unless the idea were implanted into their noggins prior to college.  Do the "Bush Standards" include liberal indoctrination? I didn't think so. Unless the kids were blacks I doubt their parents fed them this "gov owes me" mentality, which leaves public schools.
