    You should never carry a cat loose in a car. They generally hate being in moving cars and if they panic they could scratch the hole off the driver and cause a crash. You should carrry your cat in a pet carrier with a blanket over it to calm them.

    I think they get scared because they are accustomed to using sight to stalk. Anything that moves they focus in on, such as a bug. When their whole world is moving, they can't process that.
