In August 2007, we were in Xi'an China to adopt our youngest son, Shen. We took a day trip out to see the famous Terra Cotta Warriors and had lunch at a tourist restaurant at the museum complex. It featured the region's famous hand stretched noodles. I used my little digital camera to record the chef pulling the noodles for us. Though you don't see it in the video, he does finish by cutting the noodles and putting them into a broth then adds whatever ingredients you order. This was definitely a tourist joint, but the noodles were excellent. And for whatever reason, this is my most viewed clip on YouTube.

    Hello htracing,

I am very much aware of the issues of human trafficking and international adoption, but the reality is there are many children, both boys and girls, living in orphanages in China. I have met them personally. There are many places on the internet to discuss this issue, but this page is not one of them. Best of luck to you.

    Peace.

  • How thin are those noodles? At the start of the video they already looked thin. Then he divides and divides. During the video he halved and halved and halved and halved and halved and halved and halved and halved and halved and halved and halved and halved and halved and halved ( I rewinded and counted 14 times). So if at the start of the film each noodle was 5mm, then at the end i would be 0,3 micrometers.

Do they merge when he does the spinning thing?

  • spaghettttttttttttttttttttttttttiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii ^.^

  • 1 min of imaginary rope jumping :/

  • и тут обман!

  • Is he just going to keep slamming the dough and smiling at me?

  • @htaracing there are many, many Chinese children adopted by westerners, Ive seen many Swedish and Danish groups of happy couples bring home batches of Chinese babies, 10-20 at the time. All legal ofcourse, Im not talking about trafficking. I myself have chosen another way, and Ive sponsored two small sisters for a number of years at an SOS Children Village (like an orphanage but a great one) in China. But certainly, lots of Chinese babies are adopted out of China.

  • That guy can hurt someone with that dough. -_-

  • this guys in a desperate need of a cookie
