(no audio) On Friday, August 10, 2007, Statewide AFSCME Local 3299 UC workers protest at the UC Davis Medical Center in California. The Medical Center is saving money at the expense of proper patient care, employees are covering two to three areas per shift due to under staffing.

  • The AFSCME 3299 also needs to get stronger! At times, I think they are on the side of management a majority of time. If they have attorneys, they need to step up and get on the ball!

  • The University of California doesn't want to give the service unit employees of AFSCME 3299 a comparable salary wage and benefits advancement like other healthcare institutions and colleges in the area. I hope the new president Mark Yudof steps in and clear this injustice up, once in for all. There is no excuse for the UC system unprofessional behavior.
