(Looking for) Humpback whales in baja mexico

One of the few lagoons that humpback whales give birth to their young, they all leave around spring time and it is possible to take a small fishing boat out to observe. The calves are generally more curious than their mothers and the males hang back or just swim straight out.

Dolphins often play around too, but the main attraction is the whales. They will often poke their heads out of the water for a good look before deciding to come closer.
