This video series features "fly on the wall" recordings of the Season of Shadows Haunt prep work for the Halloween 2008 season. I'm taking the camera with me during every Halloween related trip or project and am grabbing a lot of footage along the way.

Since the emphasis of these videos is on the reality concept, there's not going to be any fancy camera work or great soundtracks. The raw footage will be posted as is, including all of the flaws, cracks and pops, with very little editing. The purpose is to show what it's like to prepare for a small to moderate sized Halloween yard haunt and of course to celebrate the Halloween spirit! I'm operating the camera myself, unless it's on the tripod, so the majority of this series will be point of view shots.

This first video was recorded on August 29, 2008 while adding skin and texture to a ground breaker skeleton in my garage workshop.

The ambient music playing on the garage stereo, in this clip, is by Raison D'etre.

  • I didn't think of it right away but yes I DO sound just like Bob Ross. LOL. He is a great artist by the way and I used to enjoy watching him paint when he was on TV, I don't see him anymore though on TV. *in Bob Ross voice* *just pull that color up like this and see the branch of that tree, just like that* hahah. Anyway... great vid I like how you think of the detail of the blood in the veins. I agree, you don't when em to look tooooo dead. Great work! Thumbs up!

  • @MrZombieIsHungry Thanks. :) I hadn't seen Bob for a long time either. Then, a few Saturdays back, I was up around 5 AM and my PBS channel was airing his show. It was great to see it again!

Glad you enjoyed the vid and my "spooky" Bob Ross impression. ;)

  • That was so funny, I was totally thinking Bob Ross. You totally freaked me out when you said that.... LOL

  • Bob Ross is dead, died in the summer of 1995 which explains why you wont see him on here unless you're corpsing his bones =)

  • what are you using for the mache? paper towels? magazine papers? i can't make out what it is, but it gives great texture and i would LOVE to try it!
