Used to own this as a 45 back in the mid-sixties. Gave it away along with the rest of my record albums and 45s about fifteen years later, no doubt a mistake. Probably worth money now.
I have this Rhino Records box set Nuggets as well as the box set Nuggets 2.These are incredible collections. And I still want more garage band music from the 1960s.
Don't know where But I don't care I will follow him Until the stars grow dim Until the wind has blown away hey you tell me where we're going to follow me (follow me, follow me) My head is goin' 'round My empty wrists are pounding I dont know what to do But I will follow you Wind is cryin' trees are sighin' birds are flyin' higher now you're mine Now the night is still Wander where you will and I will find you tell me
Follow Me Where we're going to see the rain softly falling on my window pane Don't know where But I don't care I will follow him Until the stars grow dim Until the wind has blown away hey you tell me where we're going to Follow me, follow me, follow me My restless heels don't heed me I'll wander where you lead me But I don't know what to do But I will follow you
@pgh45rpms Really? Waren Zevon?! Wow, no wonder this is so good! My original comment was going to be- dont know who these guys are but this is really good. Well, now I do know..... :)
Been a long time since I heard this one. Lyme is actually Warren Zevon & Cybelle is Violet Santangelo, high school classmates from LA. The record is produced by the reknowned Bones Howe. The b-side, "Like the Season", was also recorded by the Turtles as the flip-side to their #1smash, "Happy Together". Cybelle went on to be a successful Broadway actress, professionally named Laura Kenyon.

Great song, and the opening lead guitar sort of reminds me of lead guitar and many of the Monkees songs. I love the 60's sounds...Friends, Lloyd.

Stars are hidden me
my lids I just can't keep on
going now you're mine
Skies are falling, you
are calling me and I will
fall behind you tell me
Where we're going to
see the rain softly falling
on my window pane
