Colonies of some genetically engineered E.Coli Bacteria. We engineered them to glow flourescent under UV rays. It took about an hour to transform their DNA (prokaryotes have much simpler DNA than eukaryotes) and roughly 23 hours for them to grow.

  • It's been years since the actual experiment, but it involves taking the part of a jelly fishes DNA that glows in UV light and then splicing the DNA of the E Coli and inserting the jelly fish DNA and allowing it to incubate for a few days. I'm sure you could search for this easily on the web for a more complete explanations and instructions on how to do it.

  • hey there reallly interesting stuff
