UFO sighting in Eureka, California Sept. 12, 2010

My wife and I saw this silvery orb hovering in the sky in the Myrtletown area of Eureka, California around noon time today. I was driving home and saw another person walking and filming the sky with his camera phone. Once I pulled into my garage, I told my wife to get our digital camera and this is what we saw. There was no noise, and it appeared to be a single silvery orb. Anyone else see these strange things in the Eureka area?

Wow you saw this around Myrtletown? I live in Eureka :) I'll be looking to the skies more now.

On September 12 at 8:45 pm my girlfriend and I watched a bright white ball travel (float) from west to east across the sky. We were in Orleans Ca which is 40 miles east of Eureka . The object made no noise, had no silhouet and was being chased by a small prop plane .

I'd call it a balloon, you can call it a ufo if you like. The nutjobs certainly will.

Nothing special but when you see something like that first hand it does make you wonder, what if. I would guess it was launched from the airfield?
