La Purisima was the fourth mission built in the land of the Chumash people of California. The Chumash who joined La Purisima Mission were called Purismeno. By The early 1800s, the majority of the Chumash population became part of the mission system and this ended their way of life as plentiful people. Quetzalcoatl A feathered serpent deity? This was thought to be Jesus? Look it up on wikipedia please, see what it looked like and tell me this was Jesus. They worshiped a lot of different gods then.
