Well, I've played this game on the original arcade, moving something like a selector (metal dial) to move the direction of the guns. I was only 8 years old and I remember clearly, even without any coins, we were able to move that selector and, during the usual demonstration of the game while not playing, we were able defeat, or not, that final boss... haha A classic definetely. I've been looking for it to download for ages. Now I'm going to realize my children's dream and play it with coins!

This was the main reason I bought TL 2 for the Playstation 2.

ok I looked on the internet and there are several paiches for this cd rom game just google taito legends 2 and there will be a few patches for this game try that and see what happends
The original arcade game used a unique control setup. The left controller was an eight way joystick. The right controller was a "spinner" that didn't spin. The "spinner" clicked and locked into place into one of eight directions.
You fired by pressing down on the spinner.
Like I said, quite unique.
The game is practically unplayable without the original joystick setup, which will probably never be reproduced.
Great game once you get into the tanks :)

This was a classic game for it's time. You're supposed to be able to move the direction of your guns just like the enemy does. The original arcade game had a metal dial that allowed you to do it. Does this version only allow you to shoot straight up?

I've tried every combination possible, but the little guy won't shot diagonally. I don't know if it's the game or the controls.
