The intro to the CD-ROM version of the game Dune by Cryo Entertainment. Circa 1992. The music was composed by Stéphane Picq. Probably my favourite game soundtrack. especially the music on the limited edition soundtrack CD

This is the MT-32 version of the games music. Recorded in dosbox 0.72 with a Roland CM-32L Synthesizer.

The music playing in the flythrough sequence is called "Chani's Eyes". The game internally calls the song by the name of "Morning"

  • Sorry, but MT32 just makes me think the tune is being played on a small church organ! Listen to this will soundblaster and the emotion is 10 times higher.

  • I remember I once played and finished this game nonstop overnight + I had to go to school with just 1 hour sleep :-) It was high school=no stress.

I already had finished this before but anyway I just grabbed the CD and it consumed me completely. The music, Voice acting, graphics - Love it all. Thanks for the video 5*

  • Back before the web and obviously You Tube, gamers read the reviews in the games magazines, saw the screenshots and decided they'd go down to their independent games store and buy a copy. This is what I did. as well. When that full screen movie of that woman came up, it was a total surprise - as was the joy of hearing the adlib music! Those were the great days! Now, you get trailer after trailer and within a week of a game coming out you have "final scene" video's on You Tube! So 90's rule!

  • hey its the chick from candyman

  • i love how there is a little mouse shadow on the small moon in the title image. excellent attention to detail.

  • Perso je préfère la version Adlib. Les sons synthétiques collent mieux.

  • The intro text is one of the best of sci-fi movies.

  • I miss Cryo Interactive Entertainment...

  • "Spice extends life. Spice expands conciousness." Damn sounds like good ol' mary jane 2 me!

  • one of the few games, where not only the amiga soundtrack sounds more impressive, but I think even the Adlib Sound on the PC is more atmospheric. Didn't pull the MT32 to its fullest....

  • @panathatube Looks like you haven't heard the adlib gold version ;] Its' a shame, that they screwed the mt32 version.

  • @1JAMROCK1

Yeah! The whole soundtrack is amazing anyway. It's called Dune Spice Opera.
