This song is called Par Avion, and it is from their first album just called Mike + The Mechanics, from 1985. An excellent album

This is amazing! One of the best Paul Carrack / Mike & Mechanics performance I have heard! I think it is later than '89 - I think it may be 1995 or even a bit later.
