Death Metal / Metalcore

Band: The Famine
Song: The Crown and The Holy See
Album: The Architects of Guilt
Year: 2011
Country: USA

Lyrics:

Who is the father of the son of man, and to what has he given birth?
A thousand little lies to pave the way, leading to what we have become.

Building nation states, theocracies by extension of strength.
Bow to the powers that be, be they that of The Crown or of The Holy See.

The threat of indoctrination is the most dangerous of them all.

Who is the father of the son of man, and to what has he given birth?
A thousand little lies to pave the way, leading to what we have become.

Brace for what comes next from the military-industrial complex.
A modern day crusade. These colors don't run, but they do tend to fade.

A line too thin to measure between the two hands on our throats,
The greater and the lesser of the devils we know.

Enough of the cowards. Enough of the thieves. Enough of the tyrants. There is no reprieve.

The threat of indoctrination is the most dangerous of them all.

  • @Theshemproductions ahhh, clever...

  • @JOEtheHOE28 That's spirit of antixrist! Loser....

  • Ah is that really considered Christian artmachen?

  • @Calsalas91 who cares?

  • @calsalas91 even though they never wanted to be labeled a Christian band, you know what they were about...(Embodyment was most definitely a Christian band, and all if The Famine's members are the original members...2 & 2 together and all that jazz. Haha!). I do understand why they didn't want to be pigeon-holed as a Christian band, because especially these days Christian bands are so stuffy and ignorant. Who WOULD want to be associated with them? Haha!

  • @Calsalas91 I agree!

  • as much as I like this band and I am a Christian, they're not a Christian band, thought I should clarify that, plus it sucks that they've disbanded...
