@kinscrusher sorry for the late comment but the Rubinstein variation actually has Ne2 instead of Nf3

i still doesn't get how kc utilizes those pawn sacks
for me it would just be blundering material

hmmm....you play very sharp blitz games...

that was a fun game wot wot with the queen working behind the bishops on a1 and a2....i would personally be way to hysterical about hiding my queen away when i'm two pawns down...i have a lot to learn! I've only been playing chess for 30 years....HA

First game I've seen finished on the live games so far - the rest all timed out. I don't think king expected the Rook take from the sounds of it, and yes, the Queen take looked better (though the fork itself more dramatic) because the King can stay put and not walk into the Bishop's line of sight when the Knight takes the Rook. Nice finish!

So black should have taken with the Queen and not the rook and this way lose both rooks, and in return get a rook and a knight, while still being up two pawns?
Instead of giving up both rooks and only getting back one rook.., ok I see know. Thanks!!!
Either way black is in a bad spot with either position, but yes your right the Queen take is the lesser of two evils.

Yes, but the point is that in that line, Black only loses an exchange as opposed to a whole heap of material. Keeping in mind he still has 2 extra pawns, it's not that bad.

Same here :) I'm a fool at chess, so I can't play pawn sacks to any real success. Even more, therefore, I enjoy watching a masterful application of the strategaem by somebody like KC, who knows what he's doing :)

Amazing blunder at the end. That just goes to show what "raking bishops" can do for an attack.
