What are you? Like 12 years old...?

they brought it to america? so im guessing teams like yale and harvard didnt have anything to do with it, they originated it, michigan taught the irish but the first time the irish beat them they refused to play them, and the rivalry was lost for many years, the irish made the history, mivhigan taught a few guys how to play but theey didnt play the games for em

your dumb everyone knows they didn't invent it, but they are they ones who made it work and made it popular, Notre dame was the first to use it multiple time at a very successful rate, they used it and beat who were some of the best teams in the country at the point such as thrashing a great army team, so they did bring attention to the forward pass, and the did "invent it" to what it is today, notre dame made college football in every way, its all Irish!!!!!!!

@metsfan005 Did she go to ND or Saint Mary's?

@ThemOneKids Ah, the old "forward pass" myth...... this myth has been going on for some time. They did not create the forward pass. It was called the projectile pass back in the early 1900's and was first used by St. Louis University and then other college teams, many in fact, before Notre Dame used it. So, yes, Notre Dame should be admired, but give proper credit where it belongs. Just read Knute's Bio if you don't believe. Straight from an Irishman's mouth! And Michigan taught the game: Fact.

@BARCACROSSESTHEALPS credit notre dame with the forward pass, thus making college football what it is today. GO IRISH
-
I think Michigan probably deserves a little credit, no? They taught the Irish and the hated Buckeyes how to play. Michigan brought college football to America. But, yes, Notre Dame has a unique place in the history....

My bad, he was the guy in the flannel shirt at about29 or 30 seconds.

Boy Did Joe Montana look young. He's the guy in the ND jacket.
No other school has the spirit or tradition that this school has. Simply put, Notre Dame is college football! College football as a whole should thank the IRISH for making the game what it is today.
