@newwave808 i think it's less old microphones and more the fact that he was recording it onto tape, whether it be a reel-to-reel machine or a low-quality cassette.

@93smittyson I'm under the impression that he actually records himself playing an old parlor guitar. He studied at middlesex university where i think he went into the experimental direction after already playing guitar.

@Mannex17 Actually a lot of bibio's acoustic tracks were produced on the MPC as well, most of the album Vignetting the Compost was made with the method of sampling bits of his acoustic playing.
