Unfortunately their horrible smell does not repel my dog. As soon as I swat one my dog races over for a snack, I have to scream stop! and quickly put my foot over the dead stinkbug to keep her from hoovering it. Still she has managed to eat a ton. She doesn't try to eat any normal smelling insects only stinkbugs!!!

Not quite. They emit that smell so other predators (birds, etc) will not wanna eat them. Typically, they emit that smell when they are bothered. If you can handle the smell, try messing with one. (They won't bite you) You may or may not smell it until you disturb it, but when you do, it will stink itself to death trying to make you leave it alone. Kinda like what a skunk will do, only you dont need tomato juice after handling stinkbugs. Just soap & water. :-)

Don't they make that smell as a warning of danger to other stink bugs? You probably have to wash it out pretty well and get rid of that smell each time, or else the smell would scare off new ones?
