Simple Minds are a Scottish rock band who achieved worldwide popularity from the mid-1980's to the early 1990's. One of the most successful British bands in that period too selling more than 40 million albums since starting in 1979.
Jim Kerr, Carlie Burchill and drummer Mel Gaynor are the three still current members from the original line-up with Andy Gillespie and Gred Grimes joining the band later in the 80's still playing till this day.
