I only heard of this story because of Angelina playing the role, then I became curious about how true to life the movie was. Gia was beautiful in a time everyone wanted to be blonde and blue eyed. I connected because her story was/is every little girls dream, being beautiful, living the model life and then drugs came into her life as they do anyone who wants to destroy their demons what ever they may be. Almost every comment on this site is like you personally knew her----YOU DID NOT----

im not sticking up for sandy , but we all say if we had Gia as a girlfriend we would do differant love her take care of her but we cant say what sandy went through with Gia must of been a bet hard for her through

maybe you are right we dont know how it was i think the movie doesnt show the deepness of that ...but maybe i belive personaly it get into a point where gia feel abandoned for every body including Sandy ,

even in the interviews she talks about her boy friend having that wonderful human been there

I hate how he says she had a splendid life. Thats kind of cruel because if she did, she never would have stuck a needle in her vain to begin with. Its more like she could of had a splendid life, but unfortunately she never got that big second chance we all get in life to remake ourselves. That usually comes in our 30's and for some, longer. She was already gone at 26. Money, beauty, drugs, will never repair a broken heart, so many pay w/their life to learn that. All we can do is learn from it.

GIA was sent to teach people in the fashion industry a message! And people all over the world about AIDS,DEATH,ADDICITIONS,Being GAY, and just searching for LOVE! A shame no one could of reached her to LOVE her the way she needed!

GIALOUISE1980, I only meant to say that all the sites on you tube about Gia I have seen and all the stories I looked up online about her life, do not deserve some of the things people say about her. I did not know her I wish I could have she seemed to love with her heart and not her head, that's what made me want to know more about her.

I think what he meant by splendid was that she got to experience the fashion and modeling world, such as traveling, photo shoots, etc.
