There's a few advanced maneuvers that you can perform that greatly improve your mobility options, mostly involving the shield allowing you to perform a bounce jump. Once you get the hang of it, you can literally start bouncing off the walls of the room and pull off sweet tricks not possible in any other game.

Contra is admittedly still much more hardcore than this is, but then again: it's also possible for normal humans to beat, unlike Contra.

@MommysBestGames Thanks for that link Nathan, I simply never thought of buying the US Microsoft points on eBay and using them with a fake US account . I'm not sure I trust people selling Microsoft Points on eBay, but it's worth giving a shot. The thing I'm most concerned about is that Microsoft will regard my "fake" account as illegal and that they will block it. I'll check it out when I have some spare cash/time.
