Craig Hutchison and Nici Mahlandt in the Masters Division of the 2004 American Lindy Hop Championships. They took 2nd place.

Probably one of the most powerful statements made in any partner dance made by a man that had nothing to lose. In 2004, despite going through the late stages of Lou Gherigs Disease, Craig Hutchison made the trip from his home in Virginia to Connecticut and entered the Masters Division at ALHC that year with Nici Mahlandt.

Craig Hutchinson passed away peacefully October 30th, 2007 after a valiant battle with cortico basilar ganglionic degeneration. (Imagine Lou Gehrig's disease mixed with Alzheimers.) Craig, who received a purple heart in Vietnam, is buried in Arlington Cemetery.
