Bacall to Arms is a 1946 Warner Bros. cartoon in the Merrie Melodies series, directed by Bob Clampett, in his second-to-last cartoon at Warner Bros. (The Big Snooze would be the last). Neither Clampett (he was left uncredited because he had left the studio before the cartoon was released) nor voice characterizations are credited. Mel Blanc's voice is recognizable as a fat theater patron. Impressionest Dave Barry portrays the voice of Humphrey Bogart. The title refers both to Hemingway's A Farewell to Arms and actress Lauren Bacall, whose acclaimed film debut was in To Have and Have Not, based on another Hemingway novel.
Even if it's not very politically correct, I LOVED the ending line, with Bogey saying "MY OH MY! I CAN WORK FOR MR. BENNY NOW!" It just sounded so funny, and is even funnier when you get the joke

@MrDetective1412 It's a parody of "To Have and Have Not" from the 40s, starring Humphrey Bogart("Bogey Gocart") and Lauren Bacall("Laurie Bee Cool").

@timt105 In this short, Bob Clampett completely ripped off Tex Avery. Unlike Avery's early MGM shots, this was simply unfunny and lacking charm.

I detest censorship or suppression of films or older media because someone's fragile feelings might get hurt. The luckiest such films are in the public domain, because, often, if their copyright's still held by a large corporation/media conglomerate, they're too cowardly to release them. I always laughed at how Disney would force viewers to sit through Leonard Maltin's silly apologia at the front of many of their classic cartoon compilations from a few years back.
