  • deerhunter sleeps with a life-size blowup doll of Zenyatta. Too weird for words.

  • ok then. And don't call me a peep. Also, I never did compare her to Ruffian or Secretariat which to me is stupid because there will never be another like them. I'm sure there are people who are overboard with their praises on Zenyatta as well.

  • Hahaha I love how every time she bears down on the wire Calvin's up in his stirrups pointing at her going "check this shit out!!"

  • what an absolute freak.

  • You can't realistically compare horses from different decades, take them for what they are or were. Ruffian was a great filly and the 70's were arguably the greatest decade in racing, but you can't compare either way, so much has changed. I used to think Zenyatta should be Horse of the Year for 2009, she's great, however, in retrospect, it should be Rachel Alexandra.

  • No one can say that Summer Bird didn't beat Rachael Alexandra because of a muddy track because since the Haskell, Summer Bird has went on to win the Travers and the Jockey Club Gold Cup on tracks that were this bad or even worse in the case of the Travers. She's just a very determined filly that's got blinding speed and refuses to lose.

  • Thought you'd like to know, International Racing Post on dirt rated RA at 129 lbs, Well Armed 128, Macho Again & Summer Bird 127, Rail Trip & Zensational 125, Bullsbay, Quality Road, Zenyatta 124.

  • Please stop saying RA is greater than Ruffian because RA beat males. Ruffian, after a bad start, had taken the lead from Foolish Pleasure and I still believe would have won the race if she hadn't broken down. Nobody knows how great Ruffian could have become if not for her tragic death. What if RA had broken down in the Preakness? Would you be on here saying, well RA wasn't really great because she never beat the boys?

  • jhoff1234, make that 3! :)

  • FUCK U 2

  • Nah, but winning 2 Grade 1 races against males in the same year does make her better than Ruffian.

  • I got chills watching the finish the day of on tv, and I still get them when I watch this replay!
