Saying jews don't belong in America is stupid. I know plenty of jews here that get along fine and enjoy the US. I'm part jewish, but that doesn't mean half of me belongs in Israel. If anything, As for Israel, never been. However, I've known plenty of Israelis while living overseas, and they've told me that I'm pretty lucky to be in the US or Canada. Also, only a few Israelis feel as you do about Obama, so I wouldn't bring it up much while you're there.

There is a belief in Judaism that is you live in Israel it is as if you have a G-d and if you live outside of Israel it is as if you have no G-d. Well, this is whats wrong with radical religion (especially a dogmatic religion); you let yourself be dominated by a belief structure that doesn't really make sense (minus perhaps some moral alleghory).. Anyway, religious people nowadays don't aren't so archaic to think that you have to live in Israel to be close to God, or that intermarriage is bad. Such views are ignorant (or only meant to be symbolic). Anyway, theism doesn't make sense, so it doesn't matter about the rest.
