Searchlight Tea Party Rally 3/27/2010

Yes, NoGuff went to Searchlight, and here's what he saw: Lots of friendly Americans concerned about the future of their country. I was only a few yards away from Sarah Palin as she stepped out of her SUV, but just couldn't get a shot.

I left early and headed North (people were parked down the road as far as 5 miles for this event) to the Las Vegas suburb of Henderson for the 2nd event headlined by Ann Coulter, but was a little late because I really needed some lunch. So outside the pavillion it doesn't appear to be a lot of people, but believe me there were plenty, they were just inside. NoGuff was not allowed inside with his camera. I told them the camera and I are one. It would have been nice of the OCDB and Tea Party people would have told us this in the dozens of emails they sent us over the last couple of months.

One good thing is I got to see & meet Griff Jenkins from Fox News. He was outside conducting interviews. Check out just how friendly he is. He had no problem with people coming up to him and saying hello. The crowd really liked him. He even took a picture with a guy. And he did meet NoGuff and shook my hand.

If there was a CNN or NBC/MSNBC reporter there I bet it woulnd't have gone down like that. Those reporters wouldn't have been so friendly with the crowd, more likely they'd be badmouthing the crowd right in front of them.

Come to think of it, where were the CNN, NBC/MSNBC, BBC, ABC, PBS, or CBS news crews all that day? I only saw local news trucks in Searchlight, none in Henderson. Makes you think, huh?

I didn't see much of this Jenkins report on Monday night, but he's supposed to be back with more on Friday night, on either O'Reilly's show or Greta's. So you may also catch a quick glimpse of NoGuff in the background with his camera.
