The 442nd was Mr Miyagi's regiment. If you go back and see his uniform in the scene in Karate kid part 1 when he is drunk. You can see the blue and red elongated diamond torch shoulder patch.

Have not seen this movie but gonna get it and I admire and respect Yuji Okumoto's work and like his movies and he has very high standards and seems to me like a very down to earth person, He will be best remembered for his Karate Kid 2 performance!

Yuji Okumoto is a great actor. I always wanted to meet him and someday work in a movie with him. I wonder if he would ever come to New York. I like him in Karate Kid 2 and Mean Guns.
