A puncture in my front right tyre, just short of Charters Towers Qld Australia, ment an overnight stay in the Historic City. I met a couple of cowboys who were competing in the CAMPDRAFT Competition over the weekend. I always enjoy seeing top grade horseflesh and great riding skills .

Campdrafting is one of the many activities forund at a Rodeo. To be successful you must cut out a beast at least 2 or 3 times in the holding yard. Instructions are called to "open the gate" when you have the animal under control. Participants then take the bovine out of the yard and through a figure 8 course , all in less than 40 seconds . The judge monitors the time and allocates points according to tasks achieved . The stockwhip crack terminates your allocated run .
