Charles Lloyd Tapestries

The legendary jazz saxophone and flutist Charles Lloyd in concert, and at home. In addition to some wonderful performances, he talks about how his music is influenced by the 'living room' of nature, and in this case, by the intricate weavings of native American tapestries. In the video, shot years ago, Charles shares some of his spiritual insights, and it allows us an intimate look at how he creates his music (in a session with pianist Ron Altbach). There is also some terrific concert footage where he lets loose on two great sax solos.
