I always think it's weird that people hold their real family higher then their friends, to me, friends are my family

even though i love my friends and they are everything to me, i always see my family as the most important thing in the world. after my dad died, i realised how important the whole family is. my sister is one of my best friends and we cousins are very close too.

of course it's different thing if someone isn't close with their relatives but my family is very close. i know that they are always there for me.

i wouldn't want to choose which are more important to me, family members or friends.

My friends are definitly on a high pedistal...up there with my imediate family...but its hard sometimes...its hard to tell which ones really give a shit about u and which ones are just there for the moment...

I count most of my family as friends, once I actually think about it. 'Cause in my family, we don't really have all those roles. Like, my mother doesn't really try to be the authority figure, she tries to be more of a friend.

As for my bff's, we started talking and hanging out in the begining of the year. So I guess I'm closer to my family, 'cause I usually have a tendancy to hang out with te wrong people and end up getting hurt. But I think I got it right this time :)

I have a close friend. Its a love and hate friendship. I love the fact that we have everything in common from loving mystical things as horoscopes to discussions about the possibility of time travel, we are practically brothers in that sense.

I hate the fact that he never contacts me and asks "want to hang out at (whatever place)?"

I always have to make the phone calls to suggest to hang out somewhere.

That's the only segment of our friendship that pisses me off to no end.

Heh, he's right. People who say you absolutely MUST love your family disturb me. I mean, what if your cousin was a orphan rapist? Seriously, would you be forced to love her? Well..."him" after the surgery.
