Brosnan gives a concise definition of Arlingtons Smart Growth, its benefits, and where that growth is headed.

If people want to live in Smart Growth area thats their perrogative, but to take peoples property is environmental communism. The reason we don't have THE MONEY cause our govt spends money on useless wars and the over exaggerated war on terror and then we're supposed to be crammed into Smart Growth communities. 7% of the USA is developed and the govt owns almost a 3rd or 4th of US land.

i agree with ubentu. its really about controlling sprawl, reusing existing infrastructure, creating walkable neighborhoods, and locating places to live and work near public transportation. in one word, its sustainability.

@skidoo7894 P.S. Living out in the country is great too, but don't tax the hell out of me so you can scrape up some money to build paved roads and burn our slowly shrinking supply of fuel. Live on the land!

@skidoo7894 Not at all.. Smart growth keeps the human population sustainable, brings lots of money into cities, and creates community.. Fire fighters are a form of socialism, public transportation and property rights are forms of socialism... Is it really that bad to make the world good for the majority of people instead of plopping down a lot of mcmansions full of unhappy married couples?

smarth growth is the begining stages of communisim they want to run us out of the country level our hmoes and put us in sky rise apartments there wont be any property owership or freedom sounds like a plan huh not to me
