Footage of Mount Washington Observatory Observer Brian Clark and intern Aubrie Pace skiing in the East Snowfields, on the slopes of Mount Washington. Snow conditions on this day were rare for Mount Washington. 7 inches of snow fell the night before on light winds, allowing the new snow to stay light and fluffy instead of getting compacted by the wind, which is what typically happens on Mount Washington.

Mount Washington Observatory is a nonprofit, membership-supported research and educational institution with a mission to advance understanding of the natural systems that create Earth's weather and climate. Since 1932, the Observatory has been observing Mount Washington's incredible extremes, conducting scientific research, educating the public about the science of weather and climate and amassing one of North America's longest and most unique climate records. • I was on Gunstock today and skiing real powder like that for the first time. It is a lot harder than I expected. Perfect skiing conditions today.

Keep up the posts all winter. I love to watch (especially living in Texas now that I've graduated college).
