chicken #4 of our batch of 33 hatching from a GREEN egg. With and added feature of a fellow chick sleeping on the back of chicken #5 that was also trying to hatch. We have found that you turn into a kid when your watching a chick hatch and it shows in this video as we turn into little kids all excited and transformed by the experience.
Raising chickens could be beneficial and have huge financial benefits. Here you can find an inexpensive way to house them. http://goo.gl/0TwAE

  • would keep as pets :)

  • @sdfefde We have one chicken from a batch in 2005 Roxxy... She is a great pet and we think she mite even lay an egg or two still..... wow 7 years-old

  • what happends if someone helps the chicken out of its shell will something happen???

  • @250MrRaindeer if you help them out of the shell they usually don't survive as they weren't ready to come out to the shell.... :-(

  • i'm hatching my first chick but how long do it take for it to fully hatch

  • @mrthedragonlord100 You should turn it several times a day for 19 days then let it rest to hatch. They usually hatch by the 22nd day in the incubator. Some have problems getting out of their shells but usually they can do it themselves and you helping isn't a good thing usually. Well Wishes for your first chick....

  • @domohello1 Just a special type of chicken called a "Easter Egger" they produce pastel colors green, blue and even pink......LOL

  • @lonmaican We give the chickens to people that want chickens but can't afford to buy them or some times we hatch eggs for other chicken people that don't have an incubator. We enjoy hatching chicks so we put an ad on the internet (craigslist) and people started showing up to get chickens or hatch their eggs. Some times it's specialty breeders that have the eggs shipped in from very far to get a new breed or breeding stock. We don't accept money for our services but rather trade.

  • @Meagy98 sure but some hens are not good at setting as they have to sit for 21 days for the eggs to hatch.

  • Can u jut let the mom chicken sit on the eggs without an incubator?

  • @MrBagginsEsq Who doesn't love silkies they just make you by being themselves!!!

  • @TubeFrankM A 90% hatch rate is great for a human incubator, though I prefer silkies.
