A experimental Surrealist film drawing inspiration from the works and creation of Salvador Dali, with specific reference to Dali and Luis Bunuel's film Un Chien Andalou (An Andalusian Dog) 1929 and exploring the concept of the subconscious and lucid dream control, as well as the motif of eyes and vision.
Mal de Ojo (the Spanish translation for the Evil Eye) explores a girl unable to control her dreams that are turning into nightmares and slowly consuming her reality. She visits a psychologist who has an ulterior motive to helping her. The girl soon drifts into a deep sleep and wakes up to discover herself on the beach being chased by a faceless monster hungry for her eyes and vision. She soon receives guidance from a phonecall through the 'Lobster Phone' and spins to teleport and change the location of her dreamscape from the beach to her bedroom. However...she hasn't escaped from her nightmare yet! Or is it her reality now?
