Forget what you think you know about 4-H. 4-H is so much more than showing animals...although there is that too. you can do beef, clothing and textiles, citizenship, food and nutrition, forestry, horse, leadership, meat science, poultry, quiz bowl, rabbit, range science, sheep and goats, soil and crop science, swine, veterinary science, entomology, horticulture, character development, water and they are constantly expanding.

This year, as a parent, was my first year to attend the Texas 4-H Roundup. I was extremely surprised by the level of excellence in both the participants and the leadership of the organization.

If you desire for yourself or your child to be a leader in the world...run, do not stop and collect $200, to the nearest 4-H club and JOIN!

You will be amazed at some of the famous people who are 4-H alumni: Willie Nelson, Sugarland, Dolly Parton, Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Hilary Lindsey, Faith Hill, Vince Gill, Johnny Cash, Glen Campbell, Luke Bryan, Alabama, LeeAnn Rhimes and the list goes on and on.
