  • Very interesting. Nice to see arts kung fu motions put to practical application. Not a fan of the film grain affect, though. highly distracting.

  • @MicahCTheory

    looks more "vintage" though. ;-)

  • Though you might interested in knowing the First European Full Contact Chinese Swordplay Tournament will be held May 28, '11 in Oldambt, Netherlands under the Traditional Chinese Sword League rules. They have been putting on National Tournaments in the US for 3 years. The event is being organized by the Dutch Jianfa Foundation, jianfa - nl.

  • @Baihu108

thank you for the very interessting information.

we probable intent to go there but as part of the audience.

  • Aren't those training swords too short?

  • @aporlarepublica

to put it in anotherway - of course there are better ones as these ones...

the advantages of these are, that they are cheap and you dont need extra special safty-equippement...

  • I really liked the applicability of the techniques and their use in the sparring rather than resorting to wild slashes and sneaky stabs. Great to see from both practitioners.

The flickering video, however, hurt my eyes, and although stylish, the music was a little detracting. I did, however, like the costumes.

  • Thumb up :D

  • boff.. pas terrible on dirait un combat a la robin des bois ou du temps des chevalier d' Arthur

  • @ShuyuKoukin

yes you are right. the hardest goal is to internalize these applications from the forms.

during the trainings i always mention to try out these various techniques instead of

using "the safe ones", the "used to ones" , .. so they "won´t get hit".... but won´t go further ... ;-)

    thanks for your comment
