Yea you are correct. I accidentally omitted his WSB titles. You are also right about the other riders. I'm so sick of seeing some of these guys like Elias, and De Angelis and maybe even Vermeulen, (despite former success) getting all these chances to prove something that is never going to happen. Unfortunately JT got a ride with a competitive team, and they expect top 10 or top 5. Other teams expect only mediocrity.
Everything aside, your initial comment is incorrect. JT has 2 WSB titles which isn't a series that races just in the UK. He had a bad season this year in MotoGP and had promising results last season. Its just unfortunate for him that there arent more bikes on the grid so he has another chance. Many of those 'best riders in the world' have had chance after chance.
I'm not attacking JT as a person... totally awesome and nice guy. He isn't horrible on a bike.. and that's why I think he will find more success in world superbikes than he has at MotoGP. I'm just saying for MotoGP (best riders in the world), he may have made the jump too soon in his career, which may have worked against him. Best of luck nonetheless.
Is that why he is barely holding onto 13th in the points ahead of Nicky Hayden, who was riding injured early in the season? And I guess he impressed so many people with his riding skills, that he won't have a spot in motogp in 2010.. aka never again. (historically riders who don't find success in MotoGP the first time, never return again.) Unfortunately we can't blame his season on the bike, because his teammate is running 6th in the points, and has had multiple pole positions this season.
