I caught this show on my television and absolutely love it. I wish it was on more often. I tivo-ed it and figured I'd share it with others. If you want to learn more about taking great photography, this is the show. This one is about shooting with fall foliage.
who wants high DOF with macro photos?

F-stop is how much light is coming into camera
Shutter is how long the light is coming in
ISO is how sensitive the sensor is to light.
F-stop to 22, iso to 100 and shutter at 4000th of a second will let little to no light in.
F-stop at 1.8 iso at 1600 and shutter at 1/30th will let in alot of light.
F/1.8 is larger than F/22
iso 100 is less sensitive than iso 1600
shutter 30 is longer than shutter 4000
play with that concept and good luck =)

Is increasing the ISO really needed when you have a tripod and plenty of time to play with the F stop and shutter speed? I'm still new to photography so I'm not sure but I always try to keep the ISO as low as possible.
I've read that increasing the ISO on a digital is just increasing the power output of the CCD which can cause noise in the picture.
