Large, fat geniculata doesn't know when to stop eating, and enjoys this weeks 2" desert locust. Note the slightly jerky movement as she spins an eating mat: this is typical of larger acanthoscurria.

  • She's just over 8 inches leg span now... and yeah - heavy girl... she'd eat double what I give her if I let her - a veritable arachno-garbage can :)

  • Iv always wondered why do they ALWAYS do that eating matt ting???

  • I love your habitat layout! I have a Acanthoscurria Geniculata female myself. She's in a 10 gallon aquarium right now. I'd love to have a set-up like that for her. Where'd you get your supplies?

    Great tarantula, by the way!
