Rin is kept as a child prostitute, presumably only seeing her own little room and her customers. This causes her mind to deteriorate and sink into madness because, technically, she's being violated five ways till Sunday. She looks out and sees (via windows or sneaking glaces at the TV) that the world outside also sucks, but in a different way. Crazy, used, and abused, manipulated and treated like a toy, Rin goes ahead and kills everyone.
